Glass or jug of Pimms along with our famous double Gin & Tonics using Jensens Gin and BTW tonic will also be available.
Scotch eggs from the Hampstead Butcher & Providore will be on the menu for the day, accompanied by piccalilli from Rubies in the Rubble. We will also be tasting tomato relish and pink onion relish from Rubies in the Rubble, the relishes are sustainable and made from surplus vegetables that would otherwise go to waste.
New on the wine list
We are now stocking new wines from Canada, from two of the best wineries.
Burrowing Owl Winery “one of Canada’s most unique ecosystems”. The winery and vineyards lie within the northernmost tip of the antelope brush ecosystem. The location near the north end of Osoyoos Lake is one of the most highly rated grape-growing locations in Canada. We are stocking the Syrah and Cabernet Franc varietals.
Quails Gate Winery is nestled in the beautiful Okanagen Valley in the southern interior of British Columbia. A leader in sustainability. "We’ve always believed in the philosophy of doing more with less and ensuring we are good stewards of our community. It’s one of the reasons why we maintain a tradition of low-impact, sustainable viticulture practices." We are stocking the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling Ice Wine, a desert wine made using naturally frozen grapes on the vine.
On Saturday 2nd June 2018 from 2pm we will be having an informal tasting of wines from both of these two new wineries.
Our next tasting will be on Monday 4th June. We are delighted to be welcoming Guiseppe Vaira from the Vajra Estate in Piemonte who will be tasting six wines.
